Working on this piece was an absolute blast. When given a prompt to create a lore book cover for lore relating to lost memories, darkness, and dark civilizations, I immediately thought of the image on the right. I created that artwork over 5 or 6 years ago as a student on paper, with Stuart Semple's Black 2.0 "Vantablack" paint and a physical acrylic tetrahedron. With some ad-hoc watercolor techniques and a photo from above, the resulting image appears flat. At the time, I thought while it was cool, it wasn't good enough. I destroyed the piece by covering the entire page in black paint, and the original is completely lost to time. So, in a way, the book cover itself as well as the contents of the book, are a rediscovering of dark memories made manifest once again. Hope you all enjoyed storytime, and the lore book as well!
